Clean Truck Check – Reporting & On Going Management
Have You Registered for California’s Clean Truck Check Program?
California’s Clean Truck Check Program is now active, and CARB’s online reporting system—the Vehicle Inspection System (VIS)—is live. Fleets are required to report their vehicles and pay annual CARB fees in order to obtain compliance certificates. While your compliance certificate may be current today, it must be maintained through periodic testing based on your vehicle’s due dates.
All non-gasoline vehicles with a GVWR of 14,001 lbs. or greater operating in California are required to complete ongoing emissions testing and submit results to CARB. These inspections verify that no active ECU or MIL issues are present. Failure to comply can result in loss of California Truck Certification, DMV registration holds, failed inspections, and potential penalties.
